Weekend Writing Warriors 3.31.13 #8sunday

This is the final snippet for this story.

Demeas has defeated Faldron, but at a great cost.

We pick up after Demeas has contemplated why The Pillars, The Most Sacred Writings,  were stolen.

Closing the Book he returned It to the satchel and tied It to his saddle. He then tied Faldron’s horse to his and rode away.

“You know him already,” Faldron’s voice replayed in his mind several times. Although he could not cast suspicion upon anyone he knew, he believed Faldron’s statement.

Turning toward the grave he said, “Farewell, my friend.”

First he would return The Pillars and then he would find Faldron’s mysterious master, no matter how long it took.

Snow fell harder now, covering all traces of the earlier combat. He didn’t notice. It was time to go home.

That concludes the snippets for “Restoration“.

Hopefully next week I’ll have from a current WIP. A Sci-Fi story about . . .

You’ll figure it out as it goes along.

  1. Nice ending. Leaves us curious about the ‘master.’

  2. “Snow fell harder now, covering all traces of the earlier combat. He didn’t notice. It was time to go home.” Excellent wrap up! And I like how you went with uppercase for the “I” in “It”. Good post, John.

  3. Much left to be discovered then…intriguing snippet!

Sounds like the adventure is just beginning 🙂

  5. I liked the ending. It was final yet left it open at the same time.

I haven’t read the rest of the story but the ending was terrific! Great snippet!
