Currently Reading “Hollow World” By Michael J. Sullivan

I finished reading this book yesterday (March 11,2015). Having been a fan of Michael’s writing for some time it was interesting to see him write in a different genre. I was disappointed at first, fully expecting Royce and Hadrian type characters to emerge and take over the scenes, or the relating of situations to books, TV shows and characters from our time. I was expecting a MacGyver analogy which never came, or maybe I missed it. It seemed Michael didn’t seem as comfortable with Hollow World as he was with “Riyria Revelations” and “Riyria Chronicles” (personal perception).

Don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed this book very much and took time out of my days to read it. The story was interesting and the plot moved fairly well. There were some topics in the book I felt unconfortable with, but that’s okay. The real world if far more controversial.

…but I am waiting for the next installment with Royce and Hadrian or the first book in the new series.

Thanks again, Michael. I will give “Hollow World” 4 Stars.
