Weekend Writing Warriors – Restoration #3

The last two weeks have been a little difficult regard the snippets. The main reason I was unable to post anything over the last couple of weeks was the lack of internet access. This all seems to be rectified now.

This portion continues for the previous snippet.



His tone was calm, but his mind was not. He wondered who could have done this and for what purpose? Faces came to mind and names were remembered, but none of them raised suspicion.

“Overnight it seems. Sit with me, Demeas.” The old man motioned for Demeas to sit in one of the large chairs in front of the fireplace.

With a chill in the air, feeling the warm fire eased Demeas’s unease a little.

The Pillars are the foundation of The Faith: a collection of Sacred Writings passed down by generations of priests for more than three thousand years. Preserved with painstaking care by conscientious scribes and priests, the theft was a sacrilege.
