Weekend Writing Warriors – Restoration #8

#Welcome to another snippets. I hope you will enjoy this week’s selection which is but a part of the greater whole. The idea is to present the entire short story to you 8 – 10 sentences at a time.

This link will take you to the Weekend Writing Warriors home page where you can check out snippets from other writers.

“We have deliberately kept it quiet. If anyone outside The Order were to learn that these Holy Books are missing, it could shake the faith of the most ardent followers and crush the faith of many more. Trackers have been sent to look for the other copies.” Gallien reached forward and placed his hand on Demeas’s shoulder, “You must find our copy as soon as possible.” He paused again. Tears welled in his eyes, “The Order is strong here in Sendeshia, but in Ghendhar we are treated by the Monarchy with mild contempt and marginalized. If events continue as they are, I fear we will be forced out of Ghendhar as we were from Khelenah. Perhaps not in my lifetime, nor even in yours, but it will happen.”

“Who is behind this, Master?”
