Weekend Writing Warriors – Restoration #15

Welcome to another snippets. I hope you will enjoy this week’s selection which is but a part of the greater whole. The idea is to present the entire short story to you 8 – 10 sentences at a time.

This link will take you to the Weekend Writing Warriors home page where you can check out snippets from other writers.

“Then this book is proof that they may be responsible for the thefts.”

“Circumstantial evidence and nothing more, my young friend. They know we have this copy and have accused us of fabricating this abomination to defame their Order.”

“You are not serious, Master?”

“Therein lies the problem. Many Elders are certain this book is of Alaythayan origin. We can’t prove it. Find our copy, Demeas. It may be proof of their complicity.”

Join me next time for another snippet.

  1. Interesting snippet and I love the idea of presenting an entire story one snippet at a time. I look forward to reading more!

    • Thanks, I had some doubts about it early on, but decided to go ahead with it. Next week ends the first part and I’ll take a short break and start up again the second Sunday in January with part 2.

  2. Lots of intrigue going on! Religious clashes provide some pretty interesting fireworks. Looking forward to getting drawn further into whatever nefarious scheme you’ve dreamed up 🙂

  3. Quite the task for Demeas. He seems a bit naive around the edges, which will be another challenge for him. Interesting snippet!

  4. Ed Hoornaert says:

I”m in favor of any story in which a book is so important!

  5. Seems simple enough… I’m willing to bet it totally isn’t! 😉
