WeWriWa GrungeWelcome to another snippets.

I hope you will enjoy this week’s selection which is but a part of the greater whole. The idea is to present the entire short story to you 8 – 10 sentences at a time.

Demeas enters Ghendhar and continues his search.

He needed to pick up the trail as soon as possible. The copy of The Pillars needed to be recovered, and soon. The longer it took to find The Book, the greater the chance that the news of Its disappearance leaked out. Demeas could only imagine the hysteria such news would cause. There was no time to waste. An hour passed before he got a clue to the whereabouts of his quarry.

“He went up that road, sir,” pointed the young boy.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, sir.”

Demeas gave the boy a copper coin, “Thank you, son.”

  1. He’s on the right trail, but what’s going to happen when he gets to the end? I’m really enjoying these excerpts.

This excerpt makes me want to know what the Pillars are and why they’re so important. Nice job.

  3. Ed Hoornaert says:

Let’s hope the young lad knows what he’s talking about!

  4. I’m also wondering what will happen when he reaches the end of the trail! Great snippet! 😀
